I am delighted to announce that grants of between $2,500 and $20,000 are available through Round Three of the Turnbull Government’s Stronger Communities Program.
Grants are available to not-for-profit organisations or community groups for local projects across the electorate, covering 50 per cent of the project cost.
Community groups in the Flinders electorate will share in funding of $150,000 to support capital projects that deliver social benefits to the wider community.
I will be consulting closely with eligible organisations to identify projects and welcome community groups to approach me with ideas.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate matched funding for the project, either in cash or in-kind.
Previous rounds of the program have been highly successful with many worthy projects now completed across the Flinders electorate.
I look forward to seeing more valuable local projects completed as a result of this terrific initiative.
I encourage local groups to contact my office on 5979 3188 or complete an initial project proposal form through my website. Initial project proposal forms must be fully submitted to my office by July 28.
