The Mornington Service Centre, which provides services to Centrelink and Medicare customers, will remain open until late September 2021 at the current site in Main Street Mornington.
Federal Member for Flinders, the Hon. Greg Hunt MP, said he was pleased that Services Australia has announced a further extension, that will allow the Service Centre to remain open to support locals through COVID-19.
“Many Australians and locals on the Mornington Peninsula have been doing it tough over the past year and for those that need assistance, the Service Centre will continue to be in Mornington to support them through this pandemic.” Minister Hunt said.
“Locals will know that I have continued to fight for our community for services to remain in Mornington, first through an agent service, now through the continuation of the Service Centre through the coronavirus outbreak.”
“I can announce a further extension has been agreed for the continuation of Centrelink and Medicare services at the current Main Street site and I thank the landlord and Services Australia for their actions to ensure this continuation.”
Services offered from the nearby Frankston, Rosebud and Hastings Service Centres remain unchanged.
For those who would prefer to do more business from home, Services Australia’s Express Plus Apps and telephone self-service give people a way to get their business done quickly and easily at a time that suits them.
The Mornington Service Centre is open Monday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm.
